TRUCKS: Andrews’ Second Straight Gives #95 Lead In 2010 Owner’s Standings

Tim Andrews picked up the 2nd last-place finish of his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series career in Friday’s Built Ford Tough 225 at the Kentucky Speedway when his unsponsored #95 Team Gill Racing Dodge fell out with a vibration after completing 2 of the race’s 150 laps.

Andrews qualified 28th for the race at a speed of 166.795 mph, besting three “go-or-go-home” teams including the #89 of Mike Harmon and the #74 of all-time LASTCAR leader Derrike Cope, who both failed to qualify. Andrews went behind the wall two laps into the race, beating current LASTCAR championship leader Mike Garvey by eight laps.

Andrews and fellow Team Gill Racing driver Carl Long now both sit one finish behind Garvey for the LASTCAR Truck Series Driver’s Championship. Gill’s #95 team has also successfully passed Shane Sieg’s #93, Garvey’s team, for the owner’s title.
