#LASTCARLINGTON2017

I am thrilled to announce that I will be reporting from the Darlington Raceway for LASTCAR.info at this year’s Bojangles’ Southern 500 weekend, September 1-3!

I can’t overstate how honored we are to be a part of this event.  To me, there is no difference between us and the drivers we write about.  A spot in the media center is as big to us as a place on the grid for them.  We’re independents – and without a hard card, we have to make the most of every opportunity, not knowing when the next one will come.

Since 2014, we have done our best to bring you all the action at the Sonoma Raceway for the Toyota / Save Mart 350.  This year’s coverage, I felt, was our best yet.  And now, this September, we will do the same at “The Track Too Tough To Tame.”

We will be covering all three days of “Throwback Weekend,” including both the VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200 on Saturday and the Bojangles’ Southern 500 on Sunday.  We’ll be covering the retro paint schemes, Dale Jr's final Darlington race, but more than anything else, both last-place battles for Cup and XFINITY.

All this and more will be covered on this website and my Twitter feed @LASTCARonBROCK.

Thank you again to the Darlington Raceway staff for making this possible.  And thank you, the readers, for helping us grow.  It is our hope that this event will allow us to expand our coverage to even more venues in 2018 and beyond.
